About Yamhill County CASA

Yamhill County CASA was founded to train volunteers as advocates for victimized children and to educate the community about abuse and neglect.

Last year, we worked with about 150 children.  More need our help.  Our goal is to provide a CASA volunteer for each child who needs us.

Through our advocacy, we seek a timely disposition of each case and a better outcome for each child.

“When I enter my courtroom to hear a case involving an abused or neglected child, I am heartened when I see that there is a CASA appearing in the case. They will be sitting in court quietly and unobtrusively, and but for the distinctive nametag worn on a cord around the neck, I would not always recognize them. But, I am confident that this will be a case where a child’s best interests will truly be well represented.”
